Day 334: Deck the Halls

Woke up feeling sick this morning so I decided to stay home from work. After catching up on some much-needed sleep in the morning, I felt way better by the afternoon. I figured since I was home, I should take advantage of the extra time to start decorating for the holidays. So I started with the main piece - the tree!  Talk about turning a seemingly bad day into a good one!  More fun holiday decor to come...

Day 333: It's the Thought That Counts

Arrived at work to find yet another treat on my desk, congratulating me on the Give thanks. Walk. total.  My good friends, Meredith and Erin, conspired to send me some jar cakes, i.e. cupcakes in cute little jars.  Too bad the cupcakes arrived last week after I left for the Thanksgiving holiday and by today, the cupcakes were completely moldy... Oh well.  Thanks, ladies!  It truly is the thought that means the most!

Day 332: It's My Christmas Party... and I'll Cry if I Want To

Just last Sunday, I was up in DC, taking Maxwell & Murphy's Christmas card pics (see Day 325), and today, before I left Fayetteville, it was Elizabeth's turn!  She looked so precious in her cute little Christmas dress, but with 4 new teeth all coming in, we definitely saw some tears. Poor, sweet thing!  Many thanks to Angie & Sidney for allowing me to show off this sneak peek before the cards even hit the post office!

Day 331: EMB turns 1...

So, so glad to be in Fayetteville this weekend for Elizabeth's 1st birthday party. She got to wear her very special dress made by her (great-)aunt, Jennifer, open lots of fun presents and tear into some yummy chocolate cake.  However, I was not so, so glad to watch the LSU-Arkansas game with my Razorback relatives, even if EMB does make a really cute little hog...

Day 330: Baby Model

Mom and I are spending the rest of the holiday weekend in Fayetteville with sweet Elizabeth (and Angie & Sidney), and when it comes to posing for the camera, EMB doesn't disappoint. Whether she's crawling around the kitchen, playing in her closet or enjoying her nightly bath, she's always game for the camera. Sweet girl!

Day 329: Happy Plate

I was so glad to have another wonderful Thanksgiving meal at Mama Jean and Papa's house. Both the company and food are so comforting and sure to warm the heart.

Day 328: Feasting with Friends

If Thanksgiving is designed to encourage meals with family, the day before Thanksgiving must be meant for meals with friends... and that's exactly what I had today.  Lunch today at Albasha with Emelie and sushi with my fellow photo blogger Laurie for dinner at Tsunami.  Yummy and so fun!

Day 327: Kissing Bandits

Spent the morning downtown with a super cute couple, Misty and Nathan. They've been married a few years and hadn't taken any new pictures since their engagement photos and were ready for some new shots.  It was a little bit overcast when they first arrived so in attempt to avoid the rain, we darted into The Arcade for some quick shots in there. While they were in the booth, I asked Nathan to give her a quick kiss... and next thing I knew, they were kissing everywhere we went. So cute! Thanks for a great morning, guys!

Day 326: Eat More Chicken

In celebration of this weekend's Give thanks. Walk. success, my friend and co-worker Amy brought me a congratulatory Chick-fil-a chicken biscuit. Didn't quite think about capturing a photo of it until I had promptly scarfed it down. Yum - my fave!

Day 325: Good Times with Maxwell & Murphy

I had a fabulous day in DC today. After some much needed rest, we had a pretty routine morning - up early and off to church, ballet class with Maxwell, lunch and naps.  But after the naps, Maxwell & Murphy tried on their Christmas outfits for a little Christmas card photo shoot... which was a little bit of a challenge. We just couldn't get them to cooperate at the same time. If Maxwell was smiling, Murphy was spitting up. If Murphy was looking at the camera, then Maxwell was taking her bow out of her hair and handing it to Catherine.   Challenging, but fun... And I think we got some great shots.  Thanks, Cat, Malloy, Maxwell & Murphy for a great day! P.S. The last one gets my vote!

Day 324: Finish Line

Today I crossed the finish line for 2010 Give thanks. Walk., helping the staff around the country raise more than $2.2 million... And it was extra sweet having Cat, Malloy, Maxwell and Murphy come out to meet me at the Finish Line.  As for more pictures, either at the Walk or back at the house... I was just too busy and too tired... Looking forward to another day with the McNuggets tomorrow.

Day 323: End of the Rainbow

Spent the day (and evening) with our staff in the DC office getting ready for tomorrow's Give thanks. Walk.  Nothing says ready, set, go like a big giant balloon arch...  Almost finished...

Day 322: The Return of Dr. Evil

Last year, after the Give thanks. Walk. crossed the million dollar mark (yay!), my senior VP brought out his Dr. Evil action figure to commemorate the occasion. Well, as this year's campaign has gone on, I'm excited to say that Dr. Evil has returned... and possibly might need a twin... so he can say "Two million dollars! Bahaha..." We're on our way...

Day 321: Artificial Light

Much like the orchid on my desk at work, I'm not seeing much natural sunlight this week.  Hopefully I can flourish like it does under the harsh fluorescent lights of the 6th floor...

Day 320: Warm & Cozy

The temperature in Memphis took a major dip today so I figured it was about time to pull out my super comfy and extra warm sweater boots...

Day 319: Under My Umbrella... ella... ella

Back at Target House for tours again today... Feels like I was here just two days ago... Oh wait, I was (see Day 317).  Caught Kaitlin in a quick pose with our friend Tupa who welcomes all guests to Target House.  Cute, Kaitlin!
