Day 304: Brother & Sister
Spent the morning downtown with my co-worker Melissa's two sweet and beautiful kids, Jack and Ragan, taking pictures for this year's Christmas cards. (Yes, it's that time of year already! Email me to book your session soon.) Despite their early morning protests, I think they did great and we even managed to have some fun.

Day 303: Holiday Spirit
Forget Halloween, I'm ready for Christmas. After working my last shift at Merry Marketplace this morning, I finally got the chance to shop and came home with all kinds of Christmas goodies - ornaments, wrapping paper, presents for the McNuggets... :) Would it be too early to put up my tree and start wrapping?

Day 302: They Did the Mash...
The Merry Monster Mash, that is... Yep, tonight's JLM photography assignment sent me to a 7th and 8th grader dance, held during Merry Marketplace. It. Was. Hilarious. The kids had a blast, but I think the chaperons had even more fun just taking it all in.

Day 301: Gone to Market(place)
It's time again for the Junior League of Memphis Merry Marketplace, one of my favorite events and perfect place to keep off my holiday shopping. Tonight, however, was strictly business as I was asked to take pictures of the opening night gala. I was a little too distracted by all the pretty things to take many photos of the actual guests. Can't wait to actually shop later this weekend!

Day 300: The Greatest Pumpkin
In my recent series of pumpkins pictures (see Day 280 and Day 293), tonight's pumpkin is definitely the best... because it's my carved creation. So fun.

Day 299: Dinner for 3
Sorry for yet another picture of food, but I guess I'm just so excited to actually be making time to cook. It's pretty much a monumental feat these days. Anyway, my sweet friends Jessie and Amy cooked dinner for me a few weeks ago for our Glee night so I thought it was time to return the favor with some jambalaya, salad and French bread. Thanks for coming over, ladies!

Day 298: Halloween Treats
Trying to get into the Halloween spirit by making up some fun Funfetti cookies to bring to work. The icing didn't turn out quite as orange as planned, but the sprinkles do the trick!

Day 297: Defying Gravity
That's more than just the best song from tonight's performance of Wicked at the Orpheum; it's what Sarah and I had to do as we climbed to our super-high seats! Oh well - no matter where you were, the show was AMAZING! Anyone want to go again? :)

Day 295: That Kind of Week
Don't get me wrong - I really enjoyed traveling so much over the past few weeks, but by the end of this LONG week, I couldn't be happier to be home... on my couch... with a glass of wine... ready to sleep in my own bed. Yay weekend!

Day 294: Lunch Break
I've pretty much been chained to my desk this week so when I saw a window of no meetings around lunch time, I jumped at the chance to leave the office and go out for lunch. Amy, Brett and I headed out to Au Fond Farmtable for some yummy and folksy food, and my camera came along for the ride.

Day 293: The Greater Pumpkin
I thought my little pumpkins were cute (see Day 280), but the one outside of Ike's at Union and Cooper puts them to shame...

Day 292: New Addition
Picked up the newest piece of my camera collection last night - a new 35mm f/1.8 lens. It's hard to articulate exactly what that means, but basically it allows you to better focus on the closest object while blurring the background. Can't wait to put it to use with some upcoming shoots!

Day 290: Pit Stop
I love that my dear friends Julie and Paul live in Jackson, MS and always welcome me to break up my drive back to Memphis with a quick visit at their house. These visits are even more fun with their super-cute 1 year old daughter, Annie Grace, around. You might remember little AG from Day 186 when I got the chance to go to her first birthday party. It's so fun to see how much she has grown over the last few months!

Day 289: More than Just a Game
I LOVE going to LSU football games at home. There's just something about the atmosphere and the sights and the sounds and the smells. Being there for the game in person is great, but really going out there is just all about being on campus and experiencing the community with your fellow Tiger fans. Everyone is friends on Game Day, at least if you're wearing purple and gold. I was so glad to spend the day tailgating with Emelie and Brian. We also made our way over to see the newly engaged couple (see yesterday's post) and then got to actually watch the game with Emelie's precious niece and nephew. And thankfully, the Tigers pulled out another win... 7-0! Great day!

Day 288: Heading Home
Making a quick trip to BR for the weekend. Needed some quality time with Mom and Emelie (and her baby bump!) and to take in at least one home football game, even if it is just McNeese. Just after I stopped for this photo, I called one of my best friends to tell her that I was coming in town. Little did I know that she was busy at dinner with her boyfriend... getting engaged! Congrats, Laurie & Jacob! So glad I will be in town to celebrate with ya'll!

Day 287: Trip to the Coast
The only good thing about tonight's Junior League committee meeting was that it was close to Blue Coast Burrito so I could pick up some dinner on my way home. Delish!

Day 286: Worn Out
I'm not the only one who's completely worn out this week... As I'm transitioning into my fall/ winter shoes, I'm noticing a trend that all 3 of my favorite pairs have holes in the soles... Bummer!

Day 285: Food for the Soul?
Random inspiration for tonight's pics. While still contemplating what to photograph today, I turned on a rerun of How I Met Your Mother, my new favorite show in syndication. It was the episode when they go on a search for the best burger in NYC, which sparked the idea to run out to Earnestine & Hazel's.

Day 284: Ginger in the City
Today was our last day in Chicago, and I was pumped when Meredith said her mom was going to bring her precious nephew into the city for a visit. What a flippin' cutie! We went to the park and went for a walk and he hammed it up for the camera.
