Spent the weekend with Maxwell, Murphy, Cat and Malloy in DC. I hadn't seen them since Thanksgiving and they have both grown up so much! Murphy is saying my name now and it's so sweet! We spent lots of time coloring in their new Cars and Princess coloring books that I brought them - they loved them. After the first rainy day, the sun finally made its way through so we headed up to the Capitol for some photos on Sunday. And then on Monday, I insisted that Cat dress Maxwell in her sweet sailor dress that Mama Jean made for her when she was little for some more pics. Maxwell is definitely a moving target when it comes to photos these days, but when she gets still and flashes me a big smile, I just love it! Love these kiddos... and their parents!

Smith and His Sweet Sisters
I was in DC this weekend and had the opportunity to take photos of the sweet Spivey kids again. You might remember them from their Christmas card session last October. Well, this time it was for Smith's one-year portrait - he is such a happy little guy. And of course, we couldn't leave out his big sisters - Anne Miller and Eliza. I just love these little blondies. So cute!

Little Leprechaun
Made the trip to Baton Rouge to celebrate Brant's 1st birthday! Can't believe this sweet little guy is already a year old - it has been so much fun watching him grow over the past year. He's a St. Patrick's Day baby so I foresee lots more shamrock birthdays for him over the coming years! Happy birthday, Brant! And congrats to Mommy & Daddy on surviving the first year!

Worth the Wait
Today, I had the chance to take engagement photos for my sweet friend Melissa and her fiance Garrett. Melissa has long been one of my "single girls" in Memphis, but I couldn't be happier to have her moving into the "married girls" bucket. She and Garrett make such a great couple and I have loved getting to see them together over the past year. Plus, Garrett was a total sport as we went all over Midtown and Downtown and patiently waited for the sunset with us! Melissa & Garrett - I'm truly so happy for you two!

40 Sucks
My co-worker Angela asked me to take photos at her husband's surprise 40th birthday party this weekend. A raucous crowd waited at Earnestine & Hazel's for the guest of honor to arrived... and he was totally surprised! Great job, Angela!
