Day 342: O Holy Night

Headed to St. Peter's after work tonight for mass for the Immaculate Conception. I know it's still just Advent, but I think I was hoping for a little more holiday decor.  Although the green trees look great in contrast to the stark white walls... So pretty.

Day 335: Silent Night

So glad to have a quiet night at home after leaving work on time for once (amazing!).  I finished the final touches on the holiday decor, including my very favorite nativity. :)

Day 271: On a Kick

I really liked how the black and whites from yesterday's DC trip turned out so I figured I would keep the camera settings and take a look at a more familiar view.

Day 213: Day of Rest

I was so exhausted after this long week that I completely overslept for Mass at St. Peter's today. After another afternoon nap, I made my first venture out for the day to the late afternoon service at St. Patrick's.

Day 80: Wandering Eye

I way overslept this morning, which meant I had to go to Mass at the Cathedral, instead of St. Peter's.  Although it's not my service of choice, the church is always gorgeous with frescoes, hardwood floors and tile work everywhere. It's so pretty that I sometimes find it hard to stay focused during Mass and my eyes start wandering all over the church. Before I always felt like I was taking snapshots in my head so I thought it would be fitting to take the real camera along for today's photo op.

Day 48: O Holy Night

It's amazing how different my church, St. Peter's in downtown Memphis, looks at night without the daylight streaming through all of the stained glass windows.  I couldn't help but stick around to explore after Ash Wednesday Mass.

Day 26: Silent Night

I know that most nights are anything but peaceful within the walls of the hospital, but from outside, all is quiet and calm. 

Day 19: Goin' to the Chapel

Made it to campus a few minutes early tonight so I decided to swing by DeLaSalle Chapel on campus.  If I ever miss Sunday morning Mass, I can always count on CBU's late night service.  I love the very natural, humble-chic style of the chapel and the hippie praise music you can only hear at an on-campus service.

Day 12: Back to School

Night class for my Master's program is back in session, which called for a late afternoon Starbucks run. Skinny Vanilla Latte, please!  After class, I took the scenic route through campus to capture some of CBU's best spots.
