Day 120: That's What She Said
Today was our Administrative Assistant's last day in our office so we did a mini-photo shoot at work, posing with some of her famous catch phrases, and loaded the pics onto a digital frame for her to take to her new office. Words really can't express how much we are going to miss Janice. I must also say that there was a fabulous song and dance routine performed for her, but I was laughing to hard to get a good shot. Hate to have missed that. Janice, best of luck in Nashville! We love you!

Day 119: Ready for the Weekend
Three-day pass to Beale Street Music Fest? Check. Threat of severe thunderstorms for the weekend? Check. New, cute rain boots just dying to play in the mud? Check.

Day 118: Exploring the Stoneleigh
Checked into the CUTEST little boutique hotel in Dallas while in town for work. I immediately dropped my bags, grabbed my camera and went exploring. What a great restoration of this art deco gem!

Day 117: Cool Blue
Ugh! Woke up with a raging sore throat this morning. Hoping to power through with the help of some meds.

Caught the sun glistening off the pyramid after church. I figured I should capture it now before it turns into a Bass Pro... Ridiculous...

Day 114: Hang Your Hat Up
Note to self: Charge the camera before heading to a fun, theme party. I learned that the hard way this afternoon when I attended Jessie and John's Kentucky Derby-themed pre-wedding party. I missed out on such great photo ops - big hats, seersucker suits, pearls. Urgh! Guess we'll have to settle for a quick shot of my fun new hat. It's much cuter on the knob than on me. In fact, I think it makes me look like Nick Saban... yuck!

Day 112: Gourmet Twist
Tonight I decided to spice up a boring turkey burger by topping it with creamy feta cheese and a side of sweet potato fries. Yummy! Okay, maybe that's not gourmet; but it was definitely a change for the better.

Day 111: On Assignment
One of my co-workers is moving away from Memphis so some of her team members asked me to take a few pics of her favorite local spots (to go along with some of my other Memphis pics) for a going away gift. I decided to start tonight with Miss Cordelia's, the lovely, yet ridiculously over-priced grocery store on Mud Island. I might not like the prices, but I love their cute little table and chairs outside.

Day 110: Starting to See a Pattern...
Apparently, I like tulips (see Day 107, Day 100 and Day 11). I hate to see that I've featured the same subject so many times, but I just loved how this week's buds were blooming.

Day 109: Sweets for the Sweethearts
Cheesy title for the day, but very fitting. Today we hosted a bridal shower for one of my co-workers who is getting married next month. Jessie is one of those girls who will eat a simple salad everyday for lunch just so she can always have dessert. Therefore, what could be better than an all-desserts shower? Yum! Our whole team had a great time planning; I swear the excitement was brewing all morning as we all start salivating over all the desserts parading in the door. And I know I, for one, loved working on all of the little details! I think we managed to turn an otherwise boring office conference room into a lovely, intimate venue for this special event. Jessie's fiance even stopped by for the festivities - what a brave soul! Congrats, Jessie & John! Can't wait to celebrate your special day next month!

Day 108: First You Make a Roux...
I had every intention of heading down to the Rajun Cajun Crawfish Festival today, but unfortunately, running errands got the best of me. Thankfully I could satisfy my crawfish craving by turning some frozen tails into a yummy crawfish etouffee.

Day 107: Opening Day
Yesterday may have been the home opener for the Redbirds, but today was a much better opening day - the first weekend of the Memphis Farmers' Market. Not too many vegetables this week, but there were some amazing tulips and the Hooper Troopers! Stay tuned for a lot more MFM pics on Saturdays over the coming weeks.

Day 105: Third Times the Charm
I finally remembered to bring my camera to lunch today as I enjoyed another meal out on a patio under a big, fat umbrella at Bosco's. I love this time of year when the weather is just perfect to sit outside - not too breezy, not too hot - just perfect!

Day 104: A "Majestic" Kind of Day
Today was the second day in a row that I was kicking myself for not bringing along my camera with me to lunch. I went to the Majestic Grille with some co-workers and we got a fabulous table on the patio to enjoy the amazing weather. I kept looking up at the big umbrellas, the building facade and the sign and taking mental pictures. I decided to swing by the restaurant on my way home in hopes of capturing that same shot I was seeing in my mind, but unfortunately, the great umbrellas were down. The look was still nice, but not the same. So note to self - tomorrow, bring the camera!

Day 103: Campus Countdown
Tonight was Senior Day at CBU, which means... graduation is right around the corner! Yay! I'm quickly counting down my last classes with only 3 more to go until graduation. What's amazing is that I still barely know my way around campus after 2 years and keep discovering new little statues and archways. I even found the cafeteria today - woohoo!

Day 102: Chasing Daylight
Sometimes, it's the absolute best I can do to actually leave the office in time to catch a small glimpse of the sun - that must be why I'm trying to soak as much up as I can during the weekends. Today I was lucky enough to make it out just in time to head to Mud Island to get this shot.

Day 101: Sunday Stroll
Yet another gorgeous day in Memphis today - perfect for a late-afternoon stroll around the neighborhood. One of my favorite things about my apartment complex is that fact that it's actually in the midst of a great neighborhood with lovely homes with wrought-iron fences and great accent fountains. So much better than living in the middle of a cold, sterile parking lot.

Day 98: (Re)Fuel
Checked out a super cute new restaurant in Midtown for lunch today with Sarah. As the name suggests, their yummy grilled cheese provided great fuel for an afternoon's work, and the conversation and company provided fuel for the soul. :)
