Halloween is one of my absolute favorite days in the hospital. Staff come out from all different departments full decked out in costume to do a huge trick-or-treat event for the patients. For the past few years, our team has just wandered around the halls, seeing all of the great costumes and wishing that we could have a booth. Well, this year, we did and we rocked it! We had the full cast of Shrek characters - including Gingy the Gingerbread Man and his (her) gumdrop buttons and Dragon in her completely homemade costume (amazing!). And although we didn't win the contest, it was totally worth it to see all of the smiling faces on the kids! Great job, team!

Puppy Love
It was an absolutely beautiful morning for a photo shoot! My co-worker Lauren asked me to take some photos of her hubby and her puppy so we headed over to Rhodes' campus for the day. I've always admired Rhodes from afar, but had never actually been on campus - so pretty! Lauren and Brian's dog, Parmer, was quite a trooper as we roamed all over campus. She was much more interested in the squirrels than the camera, but I still think we got some great shots of the whole family! So fun!

Little Man
Capped off my weekend in Baton Rouge with a little mini-photo session with Brant - who will be 7 months tomorrow! He put on his LSU gear in celebration of yesterday's big win... but I think he was cuter in his "naked outfit." :)

Laurie and Jacob's Big Day
I was so, so happy to be a part of Laurie and Jacob's wonderful wedding day! From going to the salon with the bride and getting ready in her childhood bedroom, everything just felt so calm and normal - just like we were getting ready for a formal. That was until she slipped into her bridal gown and she transformed into this absolutely stunning bride. I was blown away - as was the rest of the bridal party and - most importantly - the groom! it was all big smiles and teary eyes as she walked down the aisle. Then it was off to the Baton Rouge country club for their rocking reception, where we ate and drank and danced all night! I literally took 400+ photos, but had to narrow it down to the best "party pics" of the night! Laurie and Jacob - I'm truly so, so happy for the two of you and felt so blessed to be a part of your special day. Here's to celebrating many more happy occasions together with the two of you over the coming years!

Let the Wedding Festivities Begin!
Made the trip down to Baton Rouge this weekend to celebrate Laurie & Jacob's wedding! The festivities started on Thursday with the Bridesmaids' Luncheon at Juban's - yum! Laurie and her mom were such beautiful hostesses. And then it was off to Most Blessed Sacrament for the wedding rehearsal and Ruffino's for the rehearsal dinner - double yum! The rehearsal dinner was so special with a great slide show and very sweet speeches by the families. If these two events were simply the precursor to the wedding, I knew it was going to one fun, fabulous wedding!

Alligator Pullin' De Skiff
Today was my last day in DC, which meant it was Maxwell and Murphy's turn to take their Christmas card photos! Leave it to Catherine to find the most precious smocked outfits with alligators pulling Santa's sleigh - just like in The Cajun Night Before Christmas! Love it! Our photo shoot didn't last long, but I think we got a few great shots... and then it was out of the nice, special clothes and back to play time! Thanks for a great weekend, Cat, Malloy, Maxwell & Murphy! Love y'all!

New Friends
I had one more photo shoot today with one of Catherine's friend's kids. Will and Reeves were just too cute and great sports as we did a rapid fire photo shoot all around the yard! Thank you to their mom, Sarah, for allowing me to take today's photos! What a sweet family!

Fun at the Farm
It was an absolutely beautiful day in Virginia today so decided to make a trip out to Cox Farms for the day. This place was amazing! We went on a hay ride, slid down lots of slides, danced to the live music, had a picnic and picked new pumpkins. What a great place and the kids had a blast! And then when we got home, it was just in time to watch the Tigers in today's LSU-Florida game. Murphy slept through most of it, but Maxwell was cheering away. What a great day!
