Second up on Saturday was sweet little Caroline. Her mama, Catherine, is a fellow LSU grad living in Memphis so of course, we happened to find each other. Holding a 3 month old Caroline is the only thing that kept me from screaming at the TV during the LSU-Alabama game last November. Hard to believe she is almost one - sweet thing! Anyway, we headed out to Shelby Farms for some family pics. We hit up the awesome playground and for the grand finale, Caroline got her first taste of cake! Sweet girl!

Baby on the Way
I had two fun photo shoots on Saturday. First up was my friend Nicole's sister, Courtney, who is 7 months pregnant! Nicole asked me if she could surprise Courtney with a maternity photo shoot for her birthday. I hadn't really done this before, but I was totally game and we had a great time! We went out to Collierville Square to take advantage of all of its great little charm and were excited when we stumbled on our BIG prop at the local farm stand. Courtney - thank you so much for being my guinea pig! I hope you enjoy and I can't wait to photograph your sweet little one when she arrives in September!

Linus's Pool Party
Let the birthday parties continue! This time, it was my co-worker Carleen's son, Linus, turning 1! What a cutie! And he was so excited to see his BFF, Hudson, Misty's little boy, who will be turning 1 next month too. Can't believe these little guys are already turning 1! Anyway, Linus loved the pool and the sprinklers, but he wasn't a big fan of his smash cake. Oh well! The last one is totally my fave!

Party in the Park
I was so happy to find out that while I was home in BR, my dear friends Julie and Paul would be throwing a birthday party for their sweet girls, Annie Grace & Peyton, that weekend. Gosh - they are so cute! I took pics of Annie Grace's 1st birthday party two years ago so it only felt fitting that I should be there for Peyton's 1st birthday too! And I decided to expand the costume box tradition to the Laperouse girls too - and it was totally a hit with Annie Grace and her little friends! Yay!

Memory Lane
I was in Baton Rouge this weekend to help Mom with this summer's garage sale. We had some great laughs (and a few tears) going through boxes of notes and photos and letters. Garage sales are always bittersweet, making your prized possessions feel so insignificant and significant all at the same time. I did take a minute to snap some pics of some old favorites before they found new homes.
