Playing in the Leaves

One of the things I love about taking photos is that it gives me the chance to meet and spend time playing with my friends' kids. I was super excited when my friend Heather asked me to come over and take photos of her two kids and nephew as a treat for her mother-in-law. I had a blast running around with the cousins and playing in the leaves. Olivia, Logan and Matthew are such precious kids!

Santa Does Beale Street

In the midst of taking other people's Christmas card pictures, I knew I had to find time to take my own.  So I grabbed my creepy vintage Santa and headed down to Beale Street. I got lots of strange looks, but loved how they turned out. Merry Christmas!

Superman!

My nuggets might not be in town for Christmas this year, but I still get some fun play time with sweet Brant (and his mama)!  He's 9 months old and on the move.  I just love his little smile!

They've Got (Bio)Chemistry!

You know how there are just some people in your life that make a bigger impact than you might realize. My friend from college, Allyson, is directly responsible for where I am today.  As a former St. Jude patient herself, she was the person who first got me involved with St. Jude in college and the person who told me about the job with St. Jude in Chicago - both of which led me to where I am today.  We've mainly stayed in touch through Facebook over the years and so I was so flattered when she emailed me about taking her engagement photos while we were both in BR.  It was such a fun day catching up with such a dear old friend and getting to meet her sweet future hubby.  Since they are both brilliant PhDs and budding professors, we thought LSU was the perfect setting, capped off by a post-photo shoot beer at our favorite hangout, The Chimes!  Allyson & Greg - I'm so happy for you two!

 

Evie Girl

I had such a fun photo shoot with sweet little 7-month old Evie today. I met her mama at a mutual friend's wedding last Spring - when she was just two weeks away from having Evie! And now here it is - almost Christmas - and Evie is sitting up and laughing and smiling. She's such a sweetheart and we had a great time capturing some fun Christmas pics, as well as some other fun ones around the house.  Thanks, Katie! She's a doll!

Holiday Fun

Stopped by  my friends Sarah and Scott's house this week to take photos for their Christmas cards. We got some great shots of the two of them, but this was my favorite. It's totally them! 

Lady Gaga

The McNuggets left to go back to DC today, but we still had sweet little Elizabeth in town for the rest of the day... which meant we got to have an early birthday party for her. She turns 2 next week!  We had Mickey Mouse cupcakes at lunch and then she got to open her presents. It was her turn for a costume box - just like Maxwell got last year for Christmas - except hers included a super fun hot pink wig that just totally fit her personality. She was a little wary of the big poofy dresses, but she rocked her little white gloves and high heels! So fun!  Happy early birthday, sweet girl!

"Tailgating" at the Park

Today was a big game between the Tigers and the Arkansas Razorbacks.  Before some of the adults headed off to the game, we spent the morning with some pretty cute little Tigers and a tiny little Razorback!  We picked up some beignets and had our own tailgate party at the park where the kiddos could swing and slide and just have a blast. We had such a fun morning and it was capped off with a great Tigers win!!
