Working on a project similar to Day 150, but this time, instead of letters, I was hunting for numbers. The final piece will be pulled together later this month, but for the moment, I stumbled upon today's date - 08/07/10.

Day 218: Once You Go Pinkberry...
... You never go back. I was so excited for the new TCBY to open in Midtown, as I was hoping they had hopped on the new froyo band wagon and adopted some Pinkberry-ish flavors. Sadly, they only had the same old, old-fashioned Golden Vanilla. It still made for a refreshing treat, but it didn't exactly hit the spot. Here's hoping someone wises up and opens another place downtown.

Day 217: Bad Citizen
My plans for today's photo were thwarted again! It's election day in Memphis so I had planned to take photos of the obnoxious campaign signs that line my drive to work. Since I left the office late, not only did I miss my chance to vote (oops!), but I also missed all of the signs. Everything had been picked up by the time I passed by! Thankfully, the Shelby County Court House was all lit up on my way home...

Day 216: Blue River
The story of the week this week in Memphis has definitely been the sweltering heat so I was prepared for today's photo to be of my thermostat hitting triple digits. But when the short, late-afternoon rain knocked it down to a, in comparison, comfortable 92 degrees, I decided to take advantage of some time outside with my camera. I headed up to the top of the Madison Hotel to capture a shot of the river.

Day 215: Take Me for a Spin
I get so excited when people tell me that they actively read this blog (who would have thought?), but I also feel really pressured to live this wonderfully exciting life so people won't think I'm totally boring. Tonight was definitely one of those nights when I felt completely domestic and boring, but I hope you'll still enjoy today's pic of my yellow towels in the washer. :)

Day 214: League Superstars
As one of the official photographers for the Junior League of Memphis, I got the chance to meet and photograph some of our most outstanding members for their feature article in the upcoming Volunteer Voices magazine. Congrats and many thanks to Cindy, Amanda and Rebecca for being such amazing contributors to the Memphis community!

Day 213: Day of Rest
I was so exhausted after this long week that I completely overslept for Mass at St. Peter's today. After another afternoon nap, I made my first venture out for the day to the late afternoon service at St. Patrick's.
