Day 224: Wacky Reflections

After Work Task #1: Quick stop by the sculpture (?) outside the Cannon Center downtown on my way home from work.

After Work Task #2: Call my dad to wish him a happy birthday. Happy birthday, Dad!

Day 223: Suck It Up

More bright lights again tonight, but this time they are coming from the vacuum as I prepare for my weekend company...

Day 222: Uplighting

No major light bulbs or significance to today's photo... Just a cool lamp and its bright colorful glow.

Day 221: S.O.B.

S.O.B. might be the perfect way to describe a mostly unproductive work day jam-packed with meetings, but the restaurant of the same name was also a fitting locale to unwind at the end of a long Monday.

Day 220: Outside the Walls

I have been meaning to take photos of the First United Methodist Church downtown for months now. The church burned down in 2006 and slowly has been rebuilding.  Right now, the physical church consists of nothing more than steel beams and open air. Today seemed like a fitting day to stop by after I had a particularly humbling experience at Mass this morning, which reminded me of the importance of taking the mission and teachings of my Catholic faith outside the four walls of the actual church.

Day 219: Numbers Game

Working on a project similar to Day 150, but this time, instead of letters, I was hunting for numbers.  The final piece will be pulled together later this month, but for the moment, I stumbled upon today's date - 08/07/10.

Day 218: Once You Go Pinkberry...

... You never go back. I was so excited for the new TCBY to open in Midtown, as I was hoping they had hopped on the new froyo band wagon and adopted some Pinkberry-ish flavors. Sadly, they only had the same old, old-fashioned Golden Vanilla. It still made for a refreshing treat, but it didn't exactly hit the spot. Here's hoping someone wises up and opens another place downtown.
