Spy Mission

Made a quick trip up to Minnesota yesterday so that I could check out this morning's JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes.  Two of my co-workers joined me for the spy mission and we left with some pretty great ideas.  Props to the JDRF team - it was a pretty amazing event!  And talk about a huge crowd - WOW!  Many thanks to Danielle and Nick for being such troopers on an early Saturday morning!

Out on a School Night

Convinced my friend Tracy to go out on a school night tonight to go see one of my absolute faves - Marc Broussard - perform at Minglewood Hall.  For the most part, we were the old ladies who sat a table in the back and just listened, but I did make it up by the stage for some fun action shots. Love him!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Whipped up a happy batch of cake pops as a Valentine's Day treat for my co-workers. Topped them with cute little conversation hearts, which - by the way - have very weird messages on them these days.  Text Me. Time 2 Dance. Step Up. Shake It.  Whatever happened to a simple I Love You?

In the Low Country

Back from a weekend in the lovely and scenic Charleston, SC, visiting one of my BFFs. Diette was kind enough to chauffeur me around to some great picturesque locations! What a beautiful city!

Office Prank

There's been quite a prank battle going on at work lately between my co-workers Misty and Keith. It started out very innocently... an unplugged mouse here, a changed phone ring there... But today, Misty took it to the next level and spent the morning placing 200 Dixie Cups of water all over the floor of Keith's office making it impossible for him to get to his desk.  Keith's response was priceless... a mixture of surprise and a little admiration.  All was in good fun until Keith decided that since he couldn't work in his office, he would take over Misty's desk... and when he started whistling non-stop and intercepting her phone calls, she broke down and picked everything up...

Flying High

Several months ago, on a whim, I purchased a certificate for an introductory flight class with Memphis Downtown Aviation, which I figured would make for some great fun photos for the blog. Well, I finally got around to taking the class today and it was great! My instructor and I went up in a VERY tiny little two-seater plane and flew out over the Mississippi River, into Arkansas and back.  It wasn't very easy to take photos while actually up in the air, but once we were safe on the ground, it was a little bit better. :)

Playing in the Snow

More snow in Memphis today, but this time it didn't start quite early enough for a snow day. But it was still fun to see the fresh, white snow coating the campus. :)
