The waiting game is over... Hudson Lane Tapp is here! Born on Monday, weighing in at 9 lbs, 11 oz, I couldn't believe that such a big boy could have been inside of little Misty. (Seriously... take a look at the photos from Friday - there's an almost 10 lb baby in there!) Anyway, I was so lucky to get the chance to snap some photos of Hudson and his mom and dad on only his second day in the world. Sweet boy! I have a feeling you'll be seeing quite a bit of him on the blog over the coming months! Misty & Howell - congratulations again! I'm so happy for you and your little family.

Playing the Waiting Game
This week has dragged on and I think it's all because we are all patiently waiting for my friend and co-worker, Misty, to have her baby! She was due last week so pretty much everyday this week has been full of uncertainty of what might happen and whether she would be back at work the next day. Neither Misty or I are big fans of maternity photos, but we figured going 9 days past her due date was too big of a milestone not to capture so we headed down to Mud Island for a few shots this morning. She's a beautiful mama-to-be and is going to be a great mama very soon! Be on the lookout for photos coming soon of Baby Tapp! Can't wait!

All the Cool Kids Wear Helmets
And my next stop in BR was to visit Emelie and my buddy Brant. He's 5 months old and getting so big! His little head isn't quite shaping up right so he's going to in his cute little helmet for the next few months. You can't see it, but it has a big Saints logo on the back which will be perfect to go with his Halloween costume as a Saints player. Sweet boy!

Sweet Sisters
I was in Baton Rouge this past weekend and was thrilled to get the chance to meet my friend Julie's sweet new baby girl, Peyton, and to see her big sis, Annie Grace (and her mama, of course!). AG is so good with Peyton and they just look so cute in their matching outfits. Peyton wasn't really digging the hot weather and bright sun, but Annie Grace was a trooper! Thanks again, Julie! The girls are beautiful!

Big, Happy Family, Part 2
And the main reason that brought Marie, Marty and Teryn to town was her parents' 40th wedding anniversary. Marie and her siblings arranged a great day for their parents, including a family photo shoot (enter me!), a slideshow of old photos and a limo ride to a fancy dinner. Her mom and dad were obviously still very much in love after 40 years and seemed very touched by their kids' thoughtfulness. With 9 grandkids, 6 "adult kids" - spouses included - and Uncle Pat, I think they were surrounded by all of their favorite people. Congratulations to the McKissacks!

Big, Happy Family, Part 1
My dear friends Marie and Marty and their precious little 9-month old, Teryn, were in Conway, AR this weekend visiting family and I was truly so excited to get to go see them. Marie was my roommate in Chicago, and I've known Marty since before they were even dating. It's so cool now to see them as parents to their sweet little girl!

Pillow Fight
I had a mid-week slumber party this week when Angie, Sidney and Elizabeth stopped by for the night on their way to Baton Rouge. At first, I was a little concerned about having no toys in the apartment until Elizabeth discovered all of my throw pillows. She stacked them up, she pushed them down, she sorted them by colors, and then... she discovered jumping and falling into them. Whether face first or backwards, she must have flopped onto those pillows 50 times, laughing just as hard each time. I think we might have a little gymnast on our hands!
